Not sure where to start?
Explore our FAQs for helpful guidance on the Kent Apprenticeship Awards and how to take part.

Who can enter?

The Kent Apprenticeship Awards are open to apprentices, employers, training providers and individuals involved in delivering or supporting apprenticeships across Kent.

Entries are welcome from:

  • Apprentices of all ages and levels, from entry-level through to higher and degree apprenticeships.
  • Employers of any size or sector who support apprenticeships
  • Training providers and education partners delivering apprenticeship training in Kent
  • Individuals and organisations that champion and support apprenticeships across the county

To be eligible, apprentices and organisations must be based in Kent or delivering apprenticeship activity within Kent.

Can apprentices nominate themselves?

Absolutely. Apprentices are encouraged to nominate themselves for the Kent Apprenticeship Awards. The awards are designed to celebrate your achievements, dedication and progression, and self-nominations are a great way to share your story and showcase the impact of your apprenticeship. If you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished, we’d love to hear from you.

Can employers enter multiple categories?

Yes. Employers are welcome to enter more than one award category, provided each entry meets the criteria for that category.

Organisations may also submit multiple entries within the same category if they are nominating different apprentices, teams or individuals. Each entry will be assessed on its own merits.

Full category criteria and entry guidance can be found on the categories page.

What happens if shortlisted?

If your entry is shortlisted, you will be notified directly ahead of the awards ceremony.

Shortlisted nominees, known as finalists, will be invited to attend the Kent Apprenticeship Awards gala dinner, where winners will be announced. Being shortlisted is a significant achievement and provides an opportunity to celebrate success alongside apprentices, employers and partners from across Kent.

Further details about attending the ceremony, tickets and what to expect on the evening will be shared with shortlisted entrants at the appropriate time.

Can I sponsor the KAA’s?

Yes. The Kent Apprenticeship Awards offer a range of sponsorship opportunities for organisations looking to support apprenticeships while raising their profile across Kent’s skills and business community.

Sponsorship provides brand visibility before, during and after the awards, as well as the opportunity to network with apprentices, employers, training providers and key stakeholders at the awards ceremony.
